Our Approach

MACC’s educational program

At Moresby Avenue Child Care and Early Learning Centre (MACC) we provide all age groups with a play-based program that enhances each child’s learning and development. Our priority is to ensure a safe environment based on love, security, friendship and happiness to guide children through their experiences.

We highly value partnerships with families so educators develop programs reflective of individual abilities to nurture children’s interests. Each child’s voice is important and we listen to encourage their personal development and self-esteem is and to offer opportunities for individual achievement.

At MACC we encourage children to respect the environment through programs connecting them with nature and emphasising sustainability, e.g. growing and maintaining a vegetable garden and fruit trees, worm farm and using tank water and recycling materials thoughtfully.

We also use Storypark, a safe online portal, to maintain children’s documentation and share with families their child’s learning journey. Storypark is an easy-to-use private service that helps educators, parents and families work together to record, share and extend children’s learning.
