Every room has a rhythm that helps children feel secure. Here’s what a typical day looks like:
7:15–8:30am
Arrival — Settle in, transition from home to centre, breakfast if arriving early.
8:30–10:30am
Morning Exploration — Play-based learning, educator-led activities or structured play.
10:00–10:30am
Morning Tea — Healthy snack and water.
10:30–11:30am
Outdoor Play — Exploration, movement, fresh air.
11:30am–12:30pm
Lunch — Home-cooked meal, social time at the table.
12:30–2:30pm
Rest Time — Sleep (if needed) or quiet activities.
2:30–5:00pm
Afternoon Tea & Play — Snack, then second round of exploration and activities.
5:00–6:15pm
Winding Down — Quieter activities as families arrive for pickup.
Within this rhythm, we’re responsive to your child’s needs. Every day is different.

Orientation & Settling In
Starting childcare can be emotional for everyone. We take settling seriously:
Before Your Start Date
We meet with you to learn about your child, your family and your goals. We share information about routines, what to bring, and how we communicate. Your child visits the room (with you) to become familiar with the space.
First Two Weeks
We keep sessions short to build familiarity gradually. You stay nearby (if possible) for the first few visits. We focus on creating a sense of safety and connection, and communicate daily about how settling is going.
Weeks Three & Beyond
Sessions gradually extend as your child builds confidence. We keep you updated on their emotional journey and celebrate milestones and adjustment moments. By week 3–4, most children are settling well (though every child is different).
Separation anxiety is normal. If your child cries at drop-off or struggles with goodbyes, that’s developmentally normal. We’re experienced in helping children through this. Talk to us about strategies; we’re here to support you both.
