MACC’s educational program
At Moresby Avenue Child Care and Early Learning Centre (MACC) we provide all age groups with a play-based program that enhances each child’s learning and development. Our priority is to ensure a safe environment based on love, security, friendship and happiness to guide children through their experiences.
We highly value partnerships with families, so educators develop programs reflective of individual abilities to nurture the children’s interests. Each child’s voice is important and we listen to encourage their personal development and self-esteem and to offer opportunities for individual achievement.
At MACC we encourage children to respect the environment through programs connecting them with nature and emphasising sustainability, e.g. growing and maintaining a vegetable garden and fruit trees, and using tank water and recycling materials thoughtfully.
Meet our centre coordinators and educators
Savita and Nora are MACC’s centre coordinators. Both have been with MACC for many years and have worked as early childhood educators when starting their careers. They take great pride in the centre and aim to meet the needs of all children and families based on an open-door policy and in collaboration with the parent committee of management.
MACC’s educators are employed based on their qualifications, knowledge and commitment to the centre’s philosophy, the National Quality Standards, National Early Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Learning and Development Framework.
Our team consists of highly qualified and culturally diverse early childhood educators who all hold current workplace level 2 first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis certificates, police checks and working with children checks.
MACC’s educators are passionate and aim to provide all children with a caring, play-based environment that fosters their learning and self-esteem.
Long-serving and dedicated relievers complement MACC’s committed permanent team so families and children are greeted by familiar faces and can develop strong and trusting relationships with all educators.
